The organization has 11 areas of working disciplines with children, women, water, health, agriculture, food security, education and family
The association is governed by:
65 local members constitutes an assembly and 3 international partners join annually
Since its inception, the charity has been taking human development as an integral part of its ministry focusing education as a means of transformation for building a better future.
In 2012 the GSDA developed the theme as a motto, “Development through Education for Transformation ", later on often quoted and referred to as holistic ministry meaning serving body, environment and soul.
In the year 2013, the development department of GDSA was organized into mainstreaming education for women, clean water supply , village school infrastructure development and women disadvantaged and public health measures (sanitation and hygiene) as cross cutting issues leading to covering the majority at the lower status of living conditions.
Staffing
The Association has six full time workers and four specialty workers on a specific project calls on activities such as water, engineering consultancy, and internal audit. Our administrative cost is below 20% of our grant and we are proud to confirm 80% of our income is spent on beneficiaries.
